About the site
What is ukof?
We're a UK price-comparison site for flowers. We pull live prices from the UK's top florists, line them up side-by-side, and let you click through to whichever one offers the best deal for what you want.
Do I pay you anything?
No — the site is free to use. When you click "Compare" or "Buy" and end up making a purchase at the retailer, the retailer pays us a small commission. That's how we keep the lights on. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to the retailer directly.
How are products ranked?
By default, lowest price first within whatever filters you've applied. You can switch sort order at the top of any product list — by name, price (high to low), or "most offers" (which surfaces products available across the most retailers). We don't re-order results to favour retailers that pay us more.
Prices, stock, and accuracy
How up-to-date are the prices?
We re-import every retailer's product feed at least once a day, usually in the early hours of the morning. Most retailers update their feeds daily, but a few only refresh weekly. We show you the lowest price we've seen at the most recent import. Always confirm the price on the retailer's own site before you check out — it's the retailer's price that's binding, not ours.
What does "1 offer from £X" mean?
"Offer" is the word we use for one retailer's listing of a product. "1 offer" means only one retailer in our system stocks that exact product right now. "3 offers from £19.95" means three retailers have it, and the cheapest of them is selling it for £19.95.
Why is X product missing?
We can only show what we receive from retailers we've partnered with. If a retailer isn't in our list, or they've removed the product from their feed, it won't appear here. We add new retailers regularly — if there's a UK florist you'd love to see compared, let us know.
Why are some retailers missing from a product I clicked on?
Two products with very similar names aren't always the same product — different sizes, bundle compositions, or seasonal editions. Where we can verify they're the same item (typically by GTIN/EAN barcode), we group them. Where we can't, we list them separately to avoid showing prices for what's actually a different product.
Buying things
How do I actually buy something?
Click any "Compare" button to see all the retailers that stock a product, sorted cheapest first. Click "Buy at <retailer>" on the row you like, and we'll send you straight to that retailer's product page. You complete the purchase on their site.
I bought something and there's a problem with my order. Can you help?
We're not the seller, so we can't directly help with delivery problems, refunds, cancellations, or quality issues — your contract is with the retailer and only they can sort it. The fastest route is usually their customer-service page or the order confirmation email they sent you. Get in touch with us anyway if you can't find their details, or if you think we listed something inaccurately — we'd like to know.
Are the affiliate links safe to click?
Yes. The link goes through the affiliate network (typically Awin) and on to the retailer. Nothing about the product, price, or checkout changes — the only thing the link does is tell the retailer you came from us so we get credited if you buy.
Privacy and accounts
Do I need an account?
Not to compare or buy — those work for everyone, signed in or not. An account is useful if you want to be notified about price changes or save items for later (features we may add over time).
What do you track when I click "Compare"?
We log which offer was clicked and a one-way hash of your IP address (so we can count unique clicks without being able to identify you). The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Working with us
I run a UK florists business — can you list us?
Yes — we add new retailers all the time. If you operate through one of the affiliate networks we already integrate with (Awin, CJ, Tradedoubler, Impact), the easiest path is to apply to our publisher account on that network. Otherwise, drop us an email and we'll work out a direct integration with your product feed.
